Family Owned and Operated

Espresso & Vinyl is a new addition to The Heights on 19th Street combining the original Black Dog Records from Bellaire with its new addition of the specialty coffee shop, Maggie May's Coffee.  The business has been family-owned and operated since 2014 and will continue to be so.  The original Black Dog Records used to be located on Shepherd Drive and has been a Houston staple in the vinyl industry for over 20 years.  You may remember Don's Record Shop from the 60's and 70's.  Coincidently, our Bellaire location was in the exact same building and space as Don's...a little history for you!

Meet the Maggie Crew

For us as a team, we believe in the philosophy that it's not the coffee that will make us successful, it's the people behind the coffee.  Us.  We are here to serve your every needs and will continue to improve ourselves by always offering a friendly experience and will do our best to get to know you and what you drink.  We love seeing repeat customers and having a chat while we prepare their favorite beverages.  If you haven't yet had a chance to come and see us, please do...we love meeting new people!

"I love working here while I finish my B.S. degree in Political Science and English with the aspiration of attending Law School.  This job is perfect for me since I've been shopping at Black Dog Records for years and now I can be part of the behind the scenes...and the fun."
